Whetstone: strip consolidation abrasive made of abrasive and binder, etc. Whetstone is usually lubricated when used, so it is named. There are two kinds of artificial and natural whetstone, artificial whetstone has two types of structure because of the different abrasives used.

(1) The matrix of whetstone made of corundum or silicon carbide abrasive and binder can be divided into square, rectangle, triangle, knife shape (wedge), round and semicircular whetstone according to its cross-sectional shape;

(2) Matrix whetstone made of diamond or cubic boron nitride abrasive and binder, rectangular, triangular and arc whetstone, etc. Natural whetstone is made OF natural quartzite with fine texture and grinding and polishing ability. It is suitable for precision machinery, watches and tools in the manufacturing industry, such as manual precision grinding. This is the first one.

There are six kinds of whetstone: green silicon carbide, white corundum, brown corundum, boron carbide, ruby (also known as sintered corundum) and natural jade.
